Frequently Asked Questions About the Water & Wastewater Conference

General Information

Is the conference presentation schedule available online?
A schedule of presentations as well as an overview of conference events will be made available online. Be sure to check back for the latest information as details are subject to change.

Will the papers be made available online at the close of the conference?

Speakers

Do speakers need to register for the conference? If so, is there a discount?
All speakers are required to register for the conference as either attendees or exhibitors. Discounts are available for KWEA/WEF members, AWWA members, young professionals (members), and retirees.

What information do speakers need to submit other than name, company/affiliation, and presentation title? 
Once your paper has been accepted and placed into the conference schedule, each speaker will receive an email with the date, time, and location for the presentation. These emails are typically distributed a few weeks before the conference. At this time speakers will be asked to verify contact information and to submit a bio.

What equipment is provided?
Please note that projectors will be provided but speakers must bring their own laptop or make arrangements to share one with another presenter. We recommend that speakers bring a copy of presentations on a USB memory stick to simplify loading it onto another laptop should the need arise. Laser pointers are also not provided nor available.

Do moderators need to register for the conference? If so, is there a discount?

Can I register online for the conference?
Of course! Online registration is preferred and encouraged.

I received a "duplicate transaction" error during checkout. What should I do?
Please be sure to double check the billing address and zip code on file with your banking institution. The information entered during the transaction MUST match the information on file with your bank or card issuer. This is a security requirement.

My credit card has been declined. What should I do?

The information entered during the transaction MUST match the information on file with your bank or card issuer. This is a security requirement, and failure to provide accurate information will result in a card decline error.

What is the deadline for registration?
Exhibitor registration closes Monday, August 14 at 5 p.m. To register a booth after this date, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Attendee registration is open online until Monday, August 28 at 5 p.m. While on-site registration is available for attendees, we strongly suggest registering before the conference to eliminate long lines and wait times when arriving at the conference.


Continuing Education Credits & Professional Development Hours

How many credits are earned for each presentation?
For each presentation attended, 3/4 hour credit is earned for CEUs; PDHs are awarded by the 1/2 hour (more information). In addition, credit is awarded for the opening session and events such as Backhoe Rodeo, Meter Madness, Environment Excellence Competition, and Water Taste Test. Those attendees wishing to track and report credit hours MUST be sure to have their badges scanned by a moderator at EACH presentation.
