Cancellation of the 2020 KWEA & KsAWWA Joint Conference

Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, the restricted activities within the State of Kansas, the many travel restrictions on companies and utilities, and the uncertainty of what will happen later this summer, the Kansas Water Environment Association (KWEA) and Kansas Section American Water Works Association (KsAWWA) have decided to cancel their joint conference in Wichita at the Wichita Hyatt/Century II originally scheduled for September 1-3, 2020.

This has not been an easy decision for either organization, but we feel it is the best possible solution. As AWWA president David LaFrance stated when they canceled ACE20, “We are about public health, and we need to take that seriously for our members as well as presenters and exhibitors.”
